I know it is fascinating. I have been following this this they chose to dig in the car park. Like the dork that I am, I woke up to watch the University of Leicester press conference at 5:00 a.m.

Like the find of the Anglo-Saxon treasure hoards in the last couple of years, I find it astonishing that this kind of stuff is still out there to be found. It would seem with the size of the population and how much everything has been dug up, that there would be nothing more to find and then something like this happens. Often, truth is better than fiction.

It is still mind boggling that they dug in that car park. Almost didn't have the time or money to find anything unless they got really, really lucky and then they did--get really, really lucky I mean! Wow! Life usually goes the other way.

Anything could happen! Maybe I will write a book and publish it and get paid! (Not bloody likely!)

Isn't it awesome? I've been following the developments (on and off) since they started looking in the car park, but it's so exciting that it really is him (or, at any rate, a very close relative who also happened to suffer from scoliosis ;)). After such a long time!

And what's even more amazing is that the archaeologist figured out where he was likely to be buried and they found him on the first day. That hardly ever happens.

How marvelous to have one more piece to the puzzle. I loved the small look that the video had of his bones laid out. Yippee!!!
