Since I was posting about Benedict Cumberbatch earlier, I thought I'd share the scene in the BBC series Sherlock Holmes where he first meets Watson played by Martin Freeman who will play Bilbo in the Hobbit. I adore this series, particularly the first episode, A Study in Pink. Unfortunately I won't be able to see Season 2 until it comes out on DVD. :-(

I was hopelessly hooked from this scene forward. I really loved the interaction of these two... they are so slashy but then most Holmes and Watsons are!

Oh, me too. And of course they have the conversation about gay/not gay in which Sherlock asserts that it would be fine if Watson was, which Watson says most definitely he's not. I agree, I thought these two had great chemistry.

Oh, I love that scene, no matter how many times I see it. I don't find either of these two guys remotely attractive, but they're just amazingly compelling together on screen. :-D

I can probably offer the new season episodes a day or two after they air in the UK, whenever that may be - early 2012 sometime? If I don't, then please just remind me at the time; it'll just be that I've forgotten, because I seem to be getting really scatterbrained these days.

They do have really good chemistry, don't they? Oh thanks for the offer. I'll let you know.

I'll be recording the new episodes. We'll see...

According to Wikipedia the three new episodes will be based on the stories A Scandal in Bohemia, The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Final Problem (aka The Reichenbach Fall). Squee!

This is a tiny sneak preview of one of the episodes in series 2:
