Dragon Fever fan art

Hi folks,

A Finnish artist named Ulla Nissinen sent me a drawing inspired by "Dragon Fever." This is Legolas confronting Smaug in his lair. She's doing a series of these and I'll post as she sends them. All I can say is, way cool. I'm quite flattered that anyone is inspired enough by a fic of mine to want to illustrate it. Thanks Ulla. Here's her art site if you want to check out more of her stuff: http://vitna.deviantart.com/

It's always interesting to see another person's interpretation of what you imagined. Agreed about the cute tushie. *g* No, not shallow at all - none of us - we're deep, or is that in deep?

It's great! As long as I know, this is the 3rd artist who did artwork inspired by your stories!
I so love the imagery you created in DF, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Ulla's work.
I'm working on DF myself, actually,
I'm hoping to introducing it to Japanese readers at least in March,

Hello Iroha!
There's been a couple other artists but that was before I had an LJ and could post the pics. You're working on DF now? You are so wonderfully diligent. Hope Japanese readers like it.
Best wishes,

Ah now, that looks just like Smaug - insincere, cruel, thoroughly enjoying Leggie's predicament. Lovely work. Also have to agree - nice tush!

I'm not surprised so many artists choose to illustrate your work - you write in a way that makes it very easy to visualize the scenes you describe.

Keiliss,
Smaug really does look nasty, doesn't he? Really great expression. And thanks my dear for your kind comment re: the fics. I think it's because I'm not a visual person and have to really think through the imagery before I write it.

I agree

This is something Elfscribe and I have discussed at length regarding writing in general and her work specifically. Elfscribe, your writing is always very cinematic, and I would have been surprised had nobody been inspired to interpret your visions.

Congratulations! You've truly gone global.
