John Oliver Discovers Slash Fiction

I was watching Comedy Central this evening and happened on the John Oliver New York Stand up comedy show. I love the Daily Show, which John Oliver is hosting for the summer (and doing a spectacular job), but I was especially amused when he opened the stand-up show with a routine about discovering slash fiction, in which a friend pointed him to a story involving a three-way between Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and himself. I thought it was really funny. (Poor man.)

The link is unavailable for my location :( It doesn't make sense beings as we get Comedy Central as well.

Hi Binky. Sorry it won't let you access that. I've run into that before when trying to pick up a link from your side of the pond. You could try a search on John Oliver, New York Stand up, slash fiction, or some combo.

I, too, laughed out loud at the "zip... thud" part. I would love to see Mr. Colbert's reaction to that.

Poor John Oliver.

It was funny. Yes, poor John. I do feel badly for him. I think I would view a story about me with the same sense of bemused horror.

LOL. I had heard him tell this story on a talk show once and I totally get why he added it to his stand up routine - it is HYSTERICAL!

"That is basically racist right there!" lol

I'll just admit it - I have written Comedy Central RPS! I know, I know, but if it helps ease the blow it was so Stewart and Colbert could fight ghosts, Jason Jones could get eaten by zombies and Neil deGrasse Tyson could save the word from aliens! But now I'm kind of tempted to write John Oliver in a fic, just to make sure he gets a little action this time! ;)

You've written it? lol. Your story sounds really funny. Poor John Oliver.

fakenews_fanfic - Comedy Central RPS has its own community and everything! It boggles the mind! I swear someone just started this place so they could write Brian Williams/Jon Stewart slash. 8)

My Comedy Central RPF tag - here - it's a Supernatural style Jon/Stephen fic, a zombie apocalypse piece that turned more serious than I expected, and my epic longest fic-to-date Neil deGrasse Tyson/X-Files/Avengers piece. Don't ask! It was for my bff. ;)

I feel like I'm doing a PSA on the bizarre stuff you can find on the internet. No wonder John Oliver was scarred for life!
